Our first ripple

My community involvement started when Ripple Retreat hosted a Free Concert June 25th, 2022 featuring The Milltown Road Show and the Better Days Band, both bands donated their amazing performances to the cause. The cause, was to raise money and awareness for Mary Ann Palmer, a 76 year old beautiful quiet lady born and raised in West Paris,, whose family farm home, uninsurable, burnt to the ground 2/20/2022, two days before Ripple Retreat was officially made an LLC on 2/22/2022.. We raised over $1,800 in donations and enough volunteers and donated material, time and money from local companies like Poland Excavation, to name one. That as a community, with most of the building being done by Nick and his son Nick, we built her a new 1 bedroom one bath home 100% through donations. She moved in 11 months after her home burnt.

Ripple Retreat Sponsors an annual West Paris Spring Cleanup. Where I get the community together after the snowmelt, usually around Easter, for a walk the town and pickup the trash. Started in 2023 so this Spring will be the 3rd Annual West Paris Spring Cleanup, hosted by Ripple Retreat.

In the Summer of 2023 Ripple Retreat hosted a women’s group one beautiful summer afternoon where they enjoyed connecting and building vision boards.

June 22, 2024 Ripple Retreat held an all day Sober Music Festival, featuring 8 acts, an Aerialist, 3 solo music acts and four bands plus a very cool hour before the Headline Band.  The festival held a “Power Hour” with three guest speakers who are prominent members of the Maine Recovery community. As featured in the Advertiser Democrate written by Evan W. Houk.
